O-ring

I. Use

O-ring is a sealing part most extensively used in hydraulic and pneumatic transmission systems, and is applicable to various types of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and mechanical equipment and components. It provides static or dynamic sealing functions at given pressure and temperature and in various types of media. It has good sealing and vibration reducing effects in environments with oil, acid/alkali, abrasion and chemical corrosion. In some situations, O-ring also serves as static seal and dynamic seal in axial reciprocating motion and low-speed rotation.

III. Performance indicators

Pressure velocity:

Maximum allowable reciprocating velocity is 0.5m/s, in static situation. 

Where check ring is absent, its maximum allowable pressure is 20MPa and maximum rotation speed is 2.0m/s.

Where check ring is used, its maximum allowable pressure is 40MPa.

Where special check ring is used, its maximum allowable pressure is 200MPa.

Dynamic pressure

Maximum compression:

Where check ring is absent, maximum allowable pressure is 5MPa in reciprocating motion. Static seal: 20% of O-ring diameter.

Where check ring is used and high pressured is applied, dynamic seal: 30% of O-ring diameter.
