I. Structure
EMPIRE PTFE hose is composed of high-end PTFE, braided mesh with good resistance to high temperature and advanced stainless steel double-fitting corrugated hose imported from Japan. PTFE hose is a special hose produced by means of extrusion and sintering from high-quality materials, after drying, high-temperature sintering and shaping. It is compact in structure and free from mechanical impurities and may be used products in O-shape, S-shape and □-shape. Stainless steel mesh serves as the main pressure bearing part of PTFE hose in pressure pipeline, and protects the PTFE hoses. According to the pressure level and application in the pipeline, users may choose hoses with one or more layers of stainless steel wires or straps.
II. Features
1. PTFE is also known as Teflon, the king of plastics. PTFE is featured by stable chemical property and resistant to all strong acid, strong alkali, strong oxidant, reductant and organic solvent, and is almost insoluble in all solvents, including aqua regia, hydrofluoric acid, concentrated hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, oleum and organic acid etc. and is very suitable for delivery of high-purity chemicals.
2. Outstanding resistance to high temperature and pressure. The hose is able to stand 250°C high-temperature steam at a pressure of 3kg/cm², and maintains surface temperature of no higher than 60°C, ensuring safety in operation. The hose can operate properly at steam pressure of 10kg/cm² and operate for long-term at temperature from -60°C to +250°C.
3. Resistant to destruction. Protected by stainless steel double-fitting self-locking spiral hose, our product is able to survive 180kg tensile force and is free from damages of whatever forms in normal use.
4. Self-lubricated and not sticky, hose walls can hardly be contaminated by any rubber or chemicals. Extremely low friction coefficient remains stable as temperature changes.
5. Excellent electric insulation and flame resistance, with LOI lower than 90.
6. Nonhazardous, transparent, semitransparent or milk-white, some hoses have high transparency, so that users can easily observe flowing conditions in the hose.
7. Weather-proof, aging-resistant, radiation-resistant and low permeability. Though prolonged exposure to atmosphere, the hose surface remains intact and is durable.
8. Light and flexible. Our PTFE hose is processed by using special techniques and a hose section of 2m (including connectors on both ends) weighs only 500g. It can effectively reduce the work intensity of operators, is also very flexible and can be bended freely. It is free from dead folds that hinder air flow.
III. Use
Teflon hose is widely used for delivery of highly corrosive media at high temperature in various industrial sectors, including atomic energy, national defense, military operation, military industry, petroleum, chemicals, electricity, electric heating, electric insulation, electronics, instruments, mechanical industry, metallurgy, metal surface processing, building construction, pipeline, pharmacy, textile, food and environmental protection.
